
The adjourned sitting of the first session (Day 3) of the 13th National Parliament has commenced.
The session began today, Sunday, 29 March 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in Dhaka. Present at the session is BNP Chairman and Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Leader of the House, Tarique Rahman, MP.
At the beginning of the session, Deputy Speaker of the Bangladesh National Parliament and Member of Parliament from Netrokona-1 constituency, Kaiser Kamal, delivered the welcome speech. In the absence of the Speaker, he is presiding over the session.

Later, a special prayer was offered seeking eternal peace for the souls of Mrs. Dilara Hafiz, wife of the Speaker of the Bangladesh National Parliament and MP from Bhola-3, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, and Rahima Begum, mother of Jessore-6 constituency MP Moktar Ali.
The agenda of the session includes: question and answer session, calling attention to matters of urgent public importance (Rule-71), motion of thanks on the President’s address, and discussion on the motion of thanks on the President’s address.
