9. Begum Selima Rahman
10. Mr. Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku
11. Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Bir Bikram
12. Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain

(After a detailed discussion on the agenda, the following decisions were taken:)

1. The Secretary General briefed the meeting on the progress of implementation of the decisions adopted in the previous meeting held on 8 July 2025.

2. The meeting expressed deep condemnation and outrage over the killing of four people in an attack by fascist Awami League goons and supporters on a National Citizens' Party rally in Gopalganj on 16 July 2025. The meeting believes that this attack was a planned attempt by pro-Hasina fascist elements to disrupt the democratic process and undermine the anti-fascist movement, where the National Citizens' Party has played a significant role. As a result, the government had to impose Section 144 and curfew. This is seen as part of a blueprint to derail the democratic process. The meeting criticized the government's failure to control the situation and emphasized that political parties must plan their programs with utmost caution to prevent giving opportunities to anti-democratic forces.

3. Mr. Salahuddin Ahmed, a member of the National Standing Committee, updated the meeting in detail about the latest progress of the National Consensus Commission. It was decided that this matter would be further discussed again at 8:00 PM on 17 July 2025.

4. The meeting expressed grave concern that a vested group is deliberately worsening the country’s law and order situation in an attempt to disrupt the promised National Parliamentary Elections scheduled for February. Incidents of mob violence, murders, snatching, robbery, extortion, and other criminal activities are increasing. Government departments responsible for law and order are failing and showing indifference, further worsening the situation. While relevant advisors continue to make statements in the media, they are failing to take effective action. The meeting urges the government to immediately take all necessary measures to improve law and order in the country.

5. The meeting strongly condemned the recent gruesome murder in Mitford and the indecent and unethical remarks and slogans made by some political parties unjustly implicating BNP in the incident, which has shocked the nation. Especially disgraceful were the obscene remarks and slogans directed at the proclaimer of independence, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, Bir Uttam; BNP Chairperson and uncompromising leader of democracy, Deshnetri Begum Khaleda Zia; and the young and popular leader of the anti-fascist movement, Mr. Tarique Rahman. The meeting believes that such actions not only disrupt the political environment but also hinder the transition to democracy and the process of holding the national elections. The meeting hopes that all political parties will prioritize mutual respect and harmony and refrain from such unethical and apolitical behavior. It also expresses strong condemnation of the murder in Mitford and similar incidents across the country and urges the government to immediately arrest and bring the perpetrators to justice.

6. At the end of the meeting, the Chair thanked everyone and adjourned the session.
