The United Nations peacekeeping operations are a unique initiative in ensuring global peace, stability, and human security. Peacekeepers have been working with great courage, patience, and dedication to restore peace in regions affected by conflict, violence, and humanitarian crises.
On the occasion of the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, I extend my heartfelt greetings and deepest respect to all peacekeepers around the world.
I pay solemn tribute to those brave peacekeepers who made the ultimate sacrifice while carrying out the noble responsibility of establishing world peace. Their contributions will remain forever honored in the history of humanity. At the same time, I express my deep sympathy to the injured peacekeepers and their families.
Bangladesh has long been making a significant contribution to United Nations peacekeeping missions. Our peacekeepers have enhanced the country’s reputation by demonstrating professionalism, efficiency, and strong humanitarian values in various countries across the world. Their responsible role has further strengthened Bangladesh’s position in the international arena. Currently, Bangladesh is one of the largest contributors of peacekeepers to UN missions.
Bangladeshi female peacekeepers are also playing an important role in international peacekeeping operations. Through their competence, leadership, and professionalism, they have earned global recognition. This is a shining example of women’s empowerment and Bangladesh’s development.
We firmly believe that a safe and peaceful world can be built on the foundations of mutual respect, cooperation, and tolerance. Bangladesh will continue to actively participate in United Nations initiatives aimed at establishing global peace.
