Condolence Message by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir
Md. Rafiqul Islam Mridha, Vice President of Kalapara Upazila BNP under Patuakhali District, passed away the night before last while undergoing treatment in Dhaka. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un. He was 66 years old at the time of his death. BNP Secretary General Mr. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep sorrow and grief at the passing of Md. Rafiqul Islam Mridha.
In a condolence message issued today, the BNP Secretary General said:
“Late Md. Rafiqul Islam Mridha, who had profound faith in the principles and ideals of former President Shaheed Ziaur Rahman, Bir Uttam, and in the philosophy of Bangladeshi nationalism, played a strong and significant role in establishing Kalapara Upazila BNP as a strong, dynamic, and well-founded organization. The loss suffered by Kalapara Upazila BNP due to his death will not be easily overcome. Under the leadership of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister, the late Begum Khaleda Zia, his courageous role in the movement and struggle for the democratic rights of the people was highly commendable.
I pray that Almighty Allah grants him a place in Jannah. I seek forgiveness and eternal peace for the departed soul of Md. Rafiqul Islam Mridha and extend my deepest condolences to his bereaved family members, relatives, admirers, and well-wishers.”
