Condolences Message by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed profound sorrow at the passing of Zakir Hossain Nannu, former Vice President of the Central Committee of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, who died of cardiac arrest at United Hospital in Gulshan, Dhaka. In a condolence message issued today, the BNP Secretary General stated:
"The late Zakir Hossain Nannu was a steadfast believer in the philosophy of Bangladeshi nationalism as envisioned by former President Shaheed Ziaur Rahman (Bir Uttam). As a dedicated leader of the Jubo Dal, he worked tirelessly to strengthen the organization. A courageous campaigner against authoritarian rule, he actively participated in the democratic movement under the leadership of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and BNP Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman, striving to secure the democratic rights of the people. His passing is an irreparable loss to the party, which has lost a capable and committed organizer. I extend my deepest sympathies to his bereaved family and pray that Almighty Allah grants him Jannah and gives his loved ones the strength and patience to bear this immense loss."
The BNP Secretary General also prayed for the eternal peace and forgiveness of the departed soul and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, relatives, admirers, and well-wishers.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Also Mourns the Loss
In a separate condolence message, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi expressed deep grief over the death of Zakir Hossain Nannu.
He described the late Nannu as a steadfast follower of nationalist ideals and praised his courageous contribution to the democratic movement and struggle. He noted that the party had lost a devoted and committed organizer with his passing.
Advocate Rizvi prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and extended his sincere condolences to the bereaved family members.
