Condolence message of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir

Habibur Rahman Khan, senior reporter of Dainik Jugantar and member of National Press Club, Bangladesh Federal Journalists Union, Dhaka Journalists Union and Reporters Unity passed away due to sudden cardiac arrest at 4:30 pm today (Inna Lillah wa Inna Ilaihe Rajiun). BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep grief and sorrow over his death.

In a condolence message today, BNP Secretary General said, "I am also deeply saddened by the death of Habibur Rahman Khan, senior reporter of Dainik Jugantar, as well as his family." Believing in independent journalism, late Habibur Rahman Khan worked relentlessly with the goal of providing objective news. He was a political analyst and a seasoned journalist. He was a truth-seeking and fearless journalist. Integrity, devotion and sense of duty were the underlying strengths of his duties. His death is a pain for the democratic people in this difficult time of taking away the freedom of the media. I pray to Allah, the Most Merciful, to grant him Jannah and grant patience to the bereaved family."

BNP Secretary General in his condolence message sought forgiveness for the departed soul of Habibur Rahman Khan and expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members, relatives, well-wishers and well-wishers.
