Condemnation and protest of BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General said in a statement today, "Refait Ullah, the leader of Choysuti Union Chatradal and Md. Billal Mia, president of Union Krishak Dal, of Kuliar Char Upazila of Kishorganj district were shot dead by the police this morning during the siege of BNP. This brutal killing by the police is cowardly. To sustain the illegitimate Awami government, it has played the role of executioner by trampling all the rules. Sheikh Hasina has given license to the police to kill indiscriminately to stop the movement of restore democracy. 

The current police force is the guardian of looting, money laundering, lawlessness and injustice of the Awami fascist government. The police are no longer a state force, they are playing the role of Sheikh Hasina's private henchmen. They have forgotten to behave according to the law. Today, they rose up to suppress the peaceful blockade program called by BNP and supported by all pro-democracy political parties in a bloody manner. They are trying to thwart the blockade program by jumping on BNP leaders and activists in Dhaka, Kishoreganj and all over the country but are failing. Brave leaders and activists have sacrificed their own lives to make the blockade program to success. Refayet Ullah of Chatradal and President of Union Krishak Dal, Md. Billal Mia, will remain bright in the history of Bangladesh as great martyrs of the ongoing democratic movement. The bodies of the two victims have not been returned to their families by the police, despite various claims."

The Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP called for the immediate handover of the dead bodies of the deceased Refait Ullah and Billal Mia to their families and strongly condemned and protested the killing of Chatradal leader Refait Ullah and Krishak Dal leader Billal Mia and wished for the recovery of the injured and the pray souls of the deceased.

In another condolence message, BNP Co-Organizing Secretary (Mymensingh Division) and Kishorganj District BNP President Shariful Alam strongly condemned and protested the killing of Choysuti Union Chatradal leader Refayet Ullah and Union Krishakdal President Billal Miah of Kuliarchar Upazila under Kishoreganj district by police firing and wished for the recovery of the injured and the pray souls of the deceased.
