At the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Tarique Rahman will depart Dhaka for Kuala Lumpur tomorrow afternoon. He will then travel to China on Monday afternoon at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
This will be the Honorable Prime Minister’s first overseas visit since the government assumed office in February this year.
During the Malaysia leg of the visit, priority will be given to expanding bilateral trade, strengthening cooperation in the labor sector, reopening and expanding Malaysia’s labor market for Bangladeshi workers, and increasing investment opportunities.
During the China visit, discussions will focus on deepening cooperation in investment, infrastructure development and assistance, technology, connectivity, and broader development initiatives.
