BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Mr. Tarique Rahman attended as the Chief Guest at a roadshow organized for local and foreign investors.

The roadshow was organized today, Saturday (20 June 2026), at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, by the Ministry of Industries, Textiles and Jute and the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) to attract investment in non-operational and closed factories.

Among those present at the event were Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Minister of Commerce, Industries, and Textiles & Jute Khandaker Abdul Muqtadir, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Finance and Planning Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, Adviser on Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Science and Technology Rehan Asif Asad, BIDA Executive Chairman Ashik Chowdhury, Bangladesh Bank Governor Mostakur Rahman, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister A.B.M. Abdus Sattar, along with senior officials from relevant ministries and divisions.


Prominent business leaders representing major industrial groups, including PRAN-RFL, ACI Limited, Walton, Meghna Group, Runner Group, TK Group, BRAC, Nabil Group, Square, Transcom, Akij, and Lal Teer, were also in attendance.

Representatives from leading Japanese companies and organizations, including Marubeni Corporation, Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Sumitomo Corporation, MUFG Bank Limited, Mitsui & Co. (Asia Pacific) Pte. Ltd., Sojitz Asia Pte. Ltd., the JETRO Bangladesh Office, and officials from the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, participated in the event.
