BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Mr. Tarique Rahman has formally launched the nationwide celebration programme of ‘Nazrul Year 2026–2027’.
He inaugurated the programme through a video conference from the Bangladesh Secretariat on Thursday morning, 2 July 2026.
During the three-day inaugural programme, the Prime Minister unveiled the logo of ‘Nazrul Year 2026–2027’ and a commemorative postage stamp.
The event was chaired by Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury. State Minister Ali Nawaz Mahmud Khaiyam, the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Information and Broadcasting and Cultural Affairs Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman, Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani, and Cultural Affairs Secretary Kaniz Mowla also addressed the programme.
Nazrul researchers, cultural activists, artistes, and distinguished guests from across the country attended the event.
