Honourable Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Chairman of BNP, Mr. Tarique Rahman, has arrived in Malaysia on his first official state visit. Accompanying him on the two-day visit is his spouse, Dr. Zubaida Rahman.
Today, Sunday (21 June 2026), at 8:35 PM local time, the Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Prime Minister landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
At the airport, Malaysia’s Minister for Religious Affairs, Dr. Zulkifli Hasan, welcomed Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Subsequently, in accordance with state protocol, the Prime Minister was accorded a formal Guard of Honour by the Government of Malaysia.
Also present on the occasion were Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury and senior officials of the Bangladesh High Commission.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman departed Dhaka for Malaysia at 2:45 PM on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.
